Bordered By: (from east, south, west and north) The community sits between the 73 and Newport Coast Drive off Ridgepark Road. It is bordered by Turtle Ridge from the north, San Joaquin Hills from the West and Pelican Hill from the south, just one mile from Crystal Cove State Park and the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.
Views: Campobello is one of real estate’s best-kept secrets because residents enjoy incredible panoramic mountain, ocean and city lights views at half the cost of Pelican Heights.
Homes: (style, architecture, when built) Campobello consists of three- and four-bedroom single family homes, typically priced between $1.3 million and $1.8 million. The community features many cul de sac streets and open spaces, with five different floor plans of up to approximately 3200 square feet. Homes are open and airy with vaulted ceilings, flowing floor plans, good size backyards and bedrooms that are somewhat larger than other homes in the area.
History of the Area: The neighborhood was built between 1997 and 1999 by California Pacific Homes.
How the Community Has Evolved: I put my money where my mouth is and bought a home in 1998. Over the years, I’ve seen Campobello mature into a tight-knit, family-oriented neighborhood with a strong communal spirit, especially during these tough economic times. Many of the residents are original owners while others came from bigger, luxury homes and moved to the community because it is a wonderful place to raise kids that offers great value. You can always count on your neighbor to wave and say hello.
Community Features/Amenities/Special Events: Campobello offers the best of California coastal living in a casual environment. The neighborhood has its own pool, spa and clubhouse, but we also benefit from the many hiking and biking trails in the area. Ridge Park Road is great for an aerobic workout with the reward of great views atop Signal Peak. We also see plenty of deer and bird life in the open spaces and enjoy year round ocean sunsets in our backyards. As a community, we participate in communal events in Newport Coast such as Halloween and Christmas parties and Fourth of July programs. Schools, great shopping, restaurants, the beach, and the state park are a short walk away.
