Carter Kaufman: In the Top 1% of Agents in Coastal Orange County
Intimate market knowledge and creative marketing are keys to success
Ranked in the Top 1% of agents in Orange County by annual sales volume, Carter has received accolades for his sales production both locally and regionally. He was awarded Keller Williams Rookie of the Year out of 3,500 new agents in all of Southern California in 2016. Carter is the highest producing team member of the KASE Group, a team of agents in Orange and LA Counties that was ranked in the top 100 Teams nationwide by the Wall Street Journal. Carter’s intimate market knowledge and ability to creatively market properties has allowed him to set multiple sales records in Orange County and placed him shoulder-to-shoulder with agents who have been in the business for years. Carter now acts as a mentor to new agents and frequently speaks on panels and real estate related podcasts.
Carter comes from a long line of Realtors and real estate investors in Orange County; as he would say, “It’s in my blood.” Carter has a passion for historical properties and their preservation in the community, as well as cutting-edge modern and contemporary homes. Carter’s expertise and knowledge of the market spans all of coastal Orange County, from Newport Beach to Dana Point.
Carter’s approach to real estate centers around finding out his clients’ “why” and taking the time to learn what motivates and inspires them. Through this process of discovery, he’s able to tailor a real estate experience that allows him to add value to a transaction and ensure longstanding client relationships and referrals to family and friends.
Carter spends his time away from real estate traveling with his wife Stephanie, golfing, or practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he holds the rank of purple belt.
Q: To what do you credit your quick rise in the industry?
A: My dynamic personality and my obsession with connecting the dots in the name of putting together the perfect transaction for my clients.
Q: What drew you to selling real estate?
A: The importance of “home” for me, home meant so much to me growing up and I’m fascinated by a physical structure and its characteristics that make it “home” for someone else.
Q: What makes your approach to a transaction unique?
A: Every real estate transaction has challenges, some of which can stand in the way of a deal. I like to think that there’s always common ground on which to stand for a buyer and seller.
