‘Tis the season for holiday activities and there’s no shortage of events for locals that will make your season merry and bright! If you’re looking for some things to do in Newport Beach or Laguna Beach, here’s what you can add to your calendar this holiday season.

The 109th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. This popular event runs from Dec. 13-17 and starts each night at the tip of Lido Island at 6:30 p.m. and ends in the same spot at 9 p.m. There will also be entertainment on opening night at Marina Park at 5 p.m. Don’t miss photos with Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman, live music by the Orange County High School of the Arts and more.

Sawdust Festival Winter Fantasy continues in Laguna Beach. 175 artists display their wares 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. alongside a decorated holiday town square. Weekends through Dec. 17. $8 for adults; $6 for children.

The 21st Annual Holiday Home Tour on Balboa Island. Nine homes will be open for visitors Sunday, Dec. 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $35 and proceeds support the Balboa Island Improvement Association. More info: balboaislandnb.org/new-events/hometour.

Visit Santa’s House in Laguna Beach daily through Dec. 24, 1-3 p.m., 295 Forest Ave.

Pancakes with Santa at The Ranch at Laguna Beach. On Dec. 16 from 8-11 a.m., join the fun. Cost is $40 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under. There will be holiday music, snow, photos with Santa, ornament decorating, and a pie eating contest. RSVP to 949 715-1376.

Fashion Island Menorah Lighting on Dec. 12, 5:30-7:30 p.m., celebrate Chanukah at the Atrium Courtyard. Singing and other festivities as well. Free.
