Realtors Give Where They Live

RED Day (Renew, Energize and Donate) is an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Realty’s year-round commitment to improving their local communities. Each year, on the second Thursday in May, tens of thousands of associates from across the U.S. and Canada participate in a wide range of projects, devoting their time to renewing and energizing aspects of the neighborhoods in which they serve.

This year’s RED Day, which took place on Thursday, May 12, 2011, Keller Williams-Newport Estates, led by their CEO/Team Leader Brock Worthen headed to The Heritage House in Costa Mesa. The Heritage House is an alcohol and drug recovery program dedicated to parenting or pregnant mothers. Keller Williams-Newport Estates shut down their office, grabbed some paintbrushes, ladders and gardening supplies and put in some needed TLC to the Heritage House.

Even though RED Day was a huge success and a true sign that there is much more to the business of real estate than selling … KW’s associates also realize that making a difference in the lives in which they touch is very important. With the help of donations and dedicated time from Expert Home Painting, the team managed to give a fresh coat of paint to the two front units and fence, add some plants and mulch to the planters, trim down some trees and clean some of the garage doors and front fascias of the homes. With KW’s first RED day complete in the Newport/Costa Mesa area they look forward to bringing more to the community throughout the year; not just on the widely celebrated annual RED Day.
