Marcus was raised on Laguna’s real estate business at the family’s kitchen table. As the son of Morris Skenderian, one of Laguna Beach’s most renowned architects, Marcus developed a deep appreciation for architecture and its relationship to the community, and an overall understanding of construction and the development process. This experience led Marcus to a career in construction before his career as a real estate broker. Equally important was the influence of his mother Carolyn Skenderian a much loved and well respected agent in Laguna Beach for over 30 years. When Marcus decided to segue into real estate 14 years ago, Carolyn taught Marcus the business of real estate and the importance of putting client’s needs before everything else.

Along with his wife Tammy, another Laguna Beach native, Marcus lives and works fully ingrained in Laguna while raising their three children Shea, Perry, and Sam. While President of SchoolPower, Marcus met Brendy Michael working as the Marketing and Events Manager. After working together for several years, it was a natural for the two to join forces in real estate. Together for the last 4 years, The Skenderian Group moved to Compass in February of 2019. The technology, tools, and support provided at Compass have given Marcus the momentum needed to have his best year in sales so far this year.
