Real Trends: Smith Group Among Nation’s Top 1,000 Real Estate Agents, Teams

The Smith Group has earned the distinguished achievement of being ranked among the Top 1,000 real estate agents and teams in the United States, as announced in the 2019 REAL Trends “The Thousand” report published in The Wall Street Journal.

The Smith Group is led by Tim Smith and is affiliated with the Newport Beach office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. The team is comprised of more than 30 support members and affiliate agents.

REAL Trends ranked The Smith Group No. 18 on the list of the Top 250 real estate teams in the U.S. based on achieving $429,307,835 in closed sales volume in 2018.

“The Thousand” ranking consists of all real estate agents and teams throughout the United States who took part in residential real estate transactions in 2018. It is divided into four Top 250 categories, separately comparing individual agents and teams based on closed transaction sides and closed sales volume. To qualify, an individual agent had to achieve or exceed 50 closed transaction sides or $20 million in closed sales volume for the prior year. A team must have attained or surpassed 75 closed transaction sides or $30 million in closed sales volume for the prior year.

In addition to “The Thousand,” The Smith Group ranked as the No. 1 Coldwell Banker Team in California and No. 2 out of all teams of four or more team members in North America for Coldwell Banker Real Estate based on highest closed adjusted gross commission (AGC) income in 2017. Additionally, the team ranked 17 out of the top 250 sales teams in the U.S. by REAL Trends and No. 2 in Tom Ferry’s Top 10 Real Estate Listing Video Creators in 2016. The Smith Group also was named to the Society of Excellence in 2016 and 2017, the highest award presented by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, which only the top sales professionals attain.
